The University of Haifa, already a leader in the cutting-edge field of Creative Arts Therapies, recently took another giant step forward.
UH celebrated the inauguration of the Emili Sago Creative Arts Therapies Research Center at the 40th Board of Governors Meeting in June 2012.
Tova and Sami Sagol donated the Center to the University.
The University of Haifa is the only academic institution in Israel to offer an English-language graduate degree in Creative Arts Therapy. The new and results-producing field contributes to the development of research concerning mental health. The practice encourages individuals who exhibit trouble expressing themselves verbally to use art media as a method of communication. The field is applicable to a variety of settings, including hospitals, educational institutions and community mental health facilities.
