In Pursuit of Shared Society: In Israel and the Supreme Court – A Conversation with Former Israeli Supreme Court Justice Salim Joubran

Boston, MA

ASUH was delighted to welcome former Israel Supreme Court Justice Salim Joubran speak about the importance of creating a truly egalitarian society with ample opportunities for all to excel, collaborate, and reach their highest potential. Justice Joubran noted “ equality is one of the most fundamental rights in a society ” and his experiences have made him an advocate for justice and a pursuer of peace. As a former lecturer in University of Haifa’s Faculty of Law, Justice Joubran has first-hand knowledge of the critical work being accomplished by the University’s legal clinics to address some of Israel’s most pressing social challenges as advocates for the rights and liberties of some of the most marginalized communities in Israel.

This event was graciously hosted by Mintz, and partnered by Kav Mashve, JNF, AJF New England, JCRC, the Consulate General of Israel to NE, Boston Partners for Peace, and the CJP Boston/Haifa Connection.
