Unpacking the Rise of Antisemitism in the U.S. — A Conversation With Abraham Foxman
As the National Director of the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) from 1987 to 2015, lawyer and activist Abraham Foxman has seen it all when it comes to Jew-hatred. Even still, nothing could have quite prepared him for the torrent of antisemitism facing world Jewry in the aftermath of the October 7 terrorist attacks in Israel.
Foxman, who currently serves as the ADL’s Emeritus Director, is a world-renowned leader in the fight against antisemitism, an expert in what motivates the hatred and how such bigotry and discrimination have manifested and evolved over the years.
Join American Society of the University of Haifa (ASUH) for a timely discussion with Foxman as he shares his perspective on the current rise of antisemitism in the United States, how social media has helped fan the flames of this escalating plight and what the Jewish community should be doing to fight back. Foxman is joined by Jeffrey Robbins, ASUH Board Member and partner at Saul Ewing and ASUH’s Chief Executive Officer, Naomi Reinharz. This program is in partnership with the acclaimed national law firm Saul Ewing.
